Komedia Studio – Tech Spec
The Studio Bar at Komedia is an intimate 80 seated/120 standing small scale venue.
The stage is approx 2.5m deep by 4m wide and is fully draped in black wool serge curtains.
PA:
FOH rig is a pair of D&b C690 Full range speakers on Stands powered by E-Pac Amps.
There are 2 mixes of monitors through a pair of powered MSR400 Wedges.
FOH desk is a 16 Channel Spirit Folio 16I with inbuilt Lexicon Effects Unit, CD and Mini DIsc.
LIGHTING:
Lighting is Via a manual 2 preset 6 channel mixer – providing a 2 colour stage wash, spot light and sound to light disco light:
3 x f 300w Par Cans and 1 650 Fresnel as Backlight
2 x 650W PC’s as G/C
1 x Single Spot.
1 Par 64 audience
1 pin spot and mirror ball
All technical equipmnet is operated from FOH position – approx 4m from the stage. There are numerous RCD protected double 13amp power sockets at the rear of the stage.

There is the possibility of a piano – although the cost for this is £50 + vat and must be arranged well in advance. We cannot guarantee the use of this piano, as it is owned by the Brighton Jazz Club.
Please note that this venue is primarily an acoustic space – and all users are reminded to be aware of our neighbours with regard to the sound levels. The PA is mainly for augmenting the natural acoustic of the performers.
Any event organiser or performer ignoring our policy of acceptable music levels will be disconnected from the PA immediately and the event will be cancelled at no cost to Komedia.
