Steward Francis on Mock the Week this Thursday and @ Komedia Bath this October

Comedian Steward Francis, famous through Mock the Week, Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow and 8 Out of 10 Cats, will feature again on Mock the Week this Thursday (22 July) – and will also be grazing the Komedia Bath stage as part of his new Tour ‘Tour de Francis’ this October 2010.

Tonight again on Mock the Week, Francis will feature in the brilliant topical celebrity panel game, hosted by Dara Ó Briain. The game is influenced by improvised topical stand-up comedy, with several rounds requiring players to deliver answers on unexpected subjects on the spur of the moment.
The programme is currently airing a ninth series which started on 17 June, 2010.

The show that returned Thursday 17 June this year continues with it’s unique policy of quiz, performance and topical discussion that has seen the series regularly pulling in viewing figures of more than 3 million and winning swathes of the popular vote on iPlayer, the BBC’s YouTube channel and Facebook. It will run until mid-October, with a break throughout August.

Fresh from his sell out nationwide tour, host Dara Ó Briain has resolved to form a workable panel of all talents utilising the established popularity of topical craftsman Andy Parsons, Outnumbered’s Hugh Dennis and star of Russell Howard’s Good News err… Russell Howard, alongside the sharpest talent from the stand-up circuit in a bid to give the people the strong satirical comment they deserve.

The show has also pledged to continue providing opportunities for the younger generation by showcasing rising stand-up stars such as Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges, John Bishop and Andi Osho in the way that it previously has for the likes of Michael McIntyre, Stewart Francis, Rhod Gilbert and David Mitchell.
