Noble Jacks

With the fiddle leading the charge, Noble Jacks are out to take no prisoners with their high-energy footstompin’ rhythms, which have taken crowds by storm across the UK.

2017 saw the release of Noble Jacks’ debut album What the Hammer to much acclaim. A fiddle driven thrill ride, the band set out to capture the raw energy of their notoriously hectic live shows. Achieving radio play internationally, including support from BBC Introducing and Radio Caroline, the riotous album has become a firm fan favourite.

Since this point Noble Jacks have been touring relentlessly, with sold out shows across the UK on their headline tours, as well as shows at major festivals including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Bestival, plus major European festivals. With their second album, Stay Awake, released Spring 2019, the Jacks went straight into the top 10 Official UK Americana Album Charts – with a sold out Concorde2, Brighton launch party.

The Hawkmen

The Hawkmen draw from an array of influences such as rhythm’n’blues, soul, and rock’n’roll which they bring together in a classic, rootsy, hybrid blend. The band emerged as a full, live act in 2017 following the early successes of soul 45 and Craig Charles favourite, Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover (Record Kicks, Italy), a northern soul remix of Emma Beatson’s debut single Do It (selected by Craig Charles for the second volume of his Freestyle Records compilation series) and The Hawkmen’s blazing Keep On Working EP (Mocambo, Germany) which yielded another 45 and was widely played on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 6.

In 2017 Love Is Blind was released and features on the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club Vol.5 compilation and received more BBC 6 Music airplay. 2018 got of to a flying start with the release of the Chemistry Of Love single, yet more plays on BBC 6 Music, leading to a mini UK tour and concerts in Germany and France. 2019 has seen the release of Soulful Dress (a huge dance floor hit), The Hawkmen’s self titled debut album, and the live video for ‘Baby Tonight’, which has gone viral on YouTube with over 200,000 views and rising. The bands’ live concerts have gone strength to strength with a mini uk tour, headlining the Frogfest Music Festival in High Wycombe and an appearance at the Boomtown Festival 2019.

West Country based booking agency Midnight Mango has secured from Arts Council England National Lottery fund to deliver a series of four shows at Bath Komedia. The fund underwrites projects that support Grass Roots Live Music. This project presents eight bands from Midnight Mango’s artist roster in Bath Komedia. The shows deliver to a socially distanced live audience in the venue, they are then also live streamed to audiences at home and also broadcasted to partner venues around the country to increase the audience further still. The aim of the project is to spread musical culture to as wide an audience as possible, whilst at the same time providing employment for artists, promoters, venue, production crews and agents. On top of this the shows provide affordable content for the programming of partner venues. The funding from Arts Council England, allows the shows to be viable and yet affordable to the general public.

This is both a live event as well as a live-stream. Tickets are valid for one option only, please choose if you would like to attend the show at the venue or watch it from the comfort of your living room.
