Hera Lindsay Bird is a poet from Wellington, New Zealand. She has an MA in poetry from the International Institute of Modern Letters where she won the 2011 Adam Prize for best folio. Her debut collection Hera Lindsay Bird was published in July 2016 by Victoria University Press and Penguin UK in November 2017, and became a cult bestseller after the poems ‘Monica’ and ‘Keats is Dead…’ went viral. Pamper Me To Hell & Back was selected by Carol Ann Duffy as a Laureate’s Choice and published by the Poetry Society in 2018. She won the Jessie McKay Best First Book Award in 2017, The Sarah Broom Poetry Prize in 2017 and was an Arts Foundation New Generation Laureate in 2017.

This monthly event puts the Spotlight on Bath’s outstanding emerging talent pool, providing a relaxed and welcoming environment for newbies, veterans and anybody in between to perform their work in a safe space. It’s a perfect opportunity to perform to a warm and intimate audience at the lovely Komedia Arts Cafe in the centre of Bath.
