GET THE BLESSING
Bath Festival postponement note: We write in the face of the fast changing and challenging situation. Our thoughts are with you all and we are hugely grateful for your patience and support at this time. The wellbeing of our audiences, partners, staff, volunteers, artists and community is paramount.
Due to the rapid escalation of the COVID-19 virus and the new government advice and guidelines, it is with a heavy heart that we now have to formally let you know that events across the 2020 Beethoven weekend in March and The Bath Festival and The Bath Festival Finale Weekend in May will not be taking place at that time; individual events will either be rescheduled or cancelled. We have all been working hard for months to make the festival happen and it has been a very difficult decision to make. It is, of course, the only right one.
We were all so looking forward to the wonderful programme we had lined up for you. The positive news is that we are now currently rescheduling a number of the festival events that will be focussed primarily around three weekends in the autumn creating The Bath Festival Season. The weekends will be 11 – 13 September, 23 – 25 October and 6 – 8 November. The Bath Children’s Literature Festival will also go ahead, as planned, on 25 September – 4 October.
Our small team will be working around the clock with artists, venues and partners in the city to get plans in place for the rescheduled events and will be in a position to share more with you by no later than the end of April. At this time, we will also provide full information for current ticket holders of rescheduled and cancelled March and May events.
We are an arts charity which is deeply committed to celebrating and providing access to the best of music and books in the beautiful city of Bath. The arts are an important part of what makes us human and we look forward to returning to putting on events for our communities in the autumn.
For now, keep safe, stay well and take care.

The line-up comprises Jake McMurchie saxophone, Pete Judge trumpet, Jim Barr bassist and Clive Deamer drums.
