Calling all filmmakers and short film fans!
Shorts in Focus is a brand new night for filmmakers of Bath, Bristol, and the South West to screen their short films in front of an open, welcoming live audience. This is your chance to network, gain valuable feedback, and discover outstanding short films from Bath and Bristol’s filmmaking community.
There’s no selection process involved. If you submit it, we’ll screen it!
Filmmakers:
We want to screen your short films! Whether it’s a finished short film, a work in progress, or just a glimpse of what’s to come, we’ll screen your short to a welcoming, friendly audience in the intimate Komedia Arts Cafe.
Shorts in Focus aims to shine a spotlight on Bath and Bristol’s filmmaking community, providing a relaxed, safe space to see how audiences (made up of people who aren’t just your friends and family!) react to your film in real time.
Film Fans:
Not a filmmaker? Do not fret! This is the perfect opportunity to check out some of the outstanding emerging talent breaking into Bath and Bristol’s filmmaking scene! Tickets are just £3, which includes 2 hours of fantastic films!
Submitting your film:
Submissions for Shorts in Focus on Monday 21st October are now closed.

Want to submit your short film? Great! But first, a couple of quick details…
By submitting your short film, you are agreeing to attend Shorts in Focus on the night of your screening. On arrival, we will check that at least one member of your filmmaking team is in attendance. If no-one from your film attends the screening, we will not show your film.
Films must be no longer than 15 minutes, and must be submitted in advance via FilmFreeway.
There’s no selection process involved. If you submit it, we’ll screen it!
Tickets are £3, and are strictly limited. We strongly recommend booking in advance. Filmmakers go free (one per film submitted).
ARTS CAFÉ: Rowed Seating – arrive early for the best seats. Please contact us if you have specific access requirements.
