Wasuremono / ANi GLASS / Amie K
Wasuremono – 忘れ物
English translation “something left behind”. On other days a four piece indie, Krautrock, dream-pop band from Bradford-on-Avon, South West England. Formed in 2013 by lead singer William Southward through his love of producing and recording cinematic soundscapes. The band have recently released their explosive EP/album Kaboom and been championed by Steve Lamacq and Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music. Featured on both Laverne’s and Lamacq’s recommends playlist and chosen as Lamacq’s “Lamacq Livener”.
“A marvellous little curio of a record” Steve Lamacq
“What a belter. Current favourite of mine” Lauren Laverne
“Wowza!” – Dermot O’Leary, BBC Radio 2.
Ani Glass is the persona of Cardiff-based electronic pop musician, producer, artist and photographer, Ani Saunders. Fiercely proud of her heritage, Glass sings in her native languages Welsh and Cornish and last year released Y Ddawns, the first single from her upcoming EP Ffrwydrad Tawel.
“Y Ddawns is a double-edged sword that’s as stern as it is hopeful; music for the end of the world, and the start of a new one.” Laura Snapes – Pitchfork
Matching life’s tendency to never stay still, Amie K‘s lyrics and sound are ever evolving whilst maintaining her distinctive indie folk style. She released her debut EP Colours in early 2016, and is already working on recording the follow up. Drawing influence from her childhood musical soundtrack featuring Sting, Pat Metheny and Annie Lennox, and merging that with her current musical favourites, such as Half Moon Run and Fort Hope, she has a broad spectrum of influence which crosses genres and even includes poetry from the likes of W.B Yeats and Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Generally performing as a solo artist she has co-written with country singer Becky Lawrence and taken part in the annual Schtumm Jamboree held at Real World Studios and The Queens Head in Box. She has also performed with her brother as a duo and as part of an Amie K band performance.
