Olga Koch: If/Then

Fresh off her BBC Radio 4 Special, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Olga Koch is back! This time, the acclaimed stand up tells a love story through the medium of computer programming (which she studied at university, and, like, barely ever brings up). In her feminist investigation into what happens when we forget how to separate love and technology, Olga will teach you how to code and explore what happens when our expectations for love, happiness and Michael Bublé no longer compute.

Directed by Charlie Dinkin.

Allyson Smith: The Self Confidence Trick…

Confidence is defined as “the feeling or belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something” sounds simple enough… But put the word “self” in front of the word and that’s when it gets tricky. Allyson has taken her Canadian charm around the world and made people laugh. She is a triple nominee for a Canadian comedy award, and even has her own hour long Canadian TV comedy special. She performs regularly at all the top comedy clubs across the UK and has opened for TV favourites Katherine Ryan, Jason Manford, and Stewart Francis on tour support, yet she still doubts herself. Bullied as a child with few friends and a desire for acceptance is probably what led Allyson to become a comedian. Now realizing that being a comedian might be the last step in figuring out self confidence, Allyson takes this hour to figure out the self confidence trick. Quite simply put this is a show about coming of age before you’re middle aged…. Or after you’re middle aged…. Or at any time in your life.

‘Wasn’t afraid to be shocking and explicit… hilarious’ ★★★★ ThreeWeeks (Edinburgh)

‘Assuredly self-deprecating… hilarious comedian’ The National (UAE)

‘Ultra likeable and versatile’ Now Magazine (Canada)

‘Yet another hilarious Canadian with great hair’ Stewart Francis

‘Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with. Can play any crowd and always has them laughing their heads off. She’s gonna be a huge star’ Jason Manford
