Isobel Rogers: Elsa

Isobel Rogers: Elsa

Half-hearted waitress Elsa works in a cafe, eavesdropping on ‘coffee mornings with the girls’. She listens to the lives of others, drifting between satire and song to make sense of a world that doesn’t feel like her own.

Half open mic, half play: Rogers seamlessly transitions between character comedy, hilarious satirical songs and off-the-cuff stand-up. Using her talents as a theatre maker and her unique lyrical songwriting, she transforms into characters who conceal the truth and finds deeper meaning in our everyday obsessions and aspirations.

Directed by Sara Joyce, who most recently directed Dust by Milly Thomas at Soho Theatre and who was nominated for Best Director by Off West End.
