Melting Vinyl presents:
Moogmemory – Matthew Bourne & Michael England + Tom Rogerson
TICKETS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR!
Following the success of his Radioland tour in March 2015, genre-bending pianist Matthew Bourne returns to explore the sounds of the legendary Moog Memorymoog synthesiser but this time with visual cohort and acclaimed video artist Michael England. In a first time collaboration, they draw on the unique analogue qualities of these iconic synthesisers to create a wonderfully atmospheric world of sound and image. The Leaf Label will release Bourne’s moogmemory album to coincide with this special live project.
Using its distinctive analogue sound, Bourne has written a programme of evocative tracks created without the use of computers or sequencers. Multi-disciplinary artist Michael England – who produces beautiful, rich videos for the likes of Elbow, Autechre and Bola – will work with Bourne to create newly shot video controlled and processed with modular analogue video equipment.
“Bourne, a staggeringly talented pianist, also has an ability to explore the synthesiser’s most Kraftwerkian properties.” **** The Guardian on Radioland.
