As part of Komedia’s 30th birthday week we welcome Ditz to play a very intimate show in the Komedia Studio.

‘The English punks’ debut is a rage-forward bulldozer of poetic wordplay and experimentalhardcore.’  Pitchfork

A ferocious live band, DITZ create forward-thinking noise rock/post-punk which features vast arrays of pedal effects with influences from 80s and 90s post-hardcore and noise rock.

Since the release of their debut album ‘The Great Regression’ in March 2022 they have played over100 shows across the UK and Europe and have become known for being a force of nature live.

They’ve toured with DIIV, played festivals less than 24 hours after the drummer dislocated his shoulder, jumped into lakes mid-set and had the French police shut down their Paris instore due to noise complaints. In this time, they’ve done headline tours in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands and played to thousands of people at festivals such as La Route Du Rock, Reeperbahn, Great Escape, Maifeld Derby, 2000 Trees, Grauzone and many more.

Lower Slaughter

Having ploughed through the UK underground for nearly a decade, 2024 sees Sussex-by-the-sea’s Lower Slaughter return after an extended hiatus, with a shift in personnel, a new line-up & all-new music!

The four piece describe themselves modestly as a band “who make loud riffs” though The Quietus description of “lurching noise-rock that occasionally works the angles but is chiefly a showpiece for big fuck-off riffs that call to mind Pissed Jeans, Nirvana and Harvey Milk” may be more accurate.

Since their debut album release in 2017, the band has garnered high praise from the likes of The Quietus, All Music, Loud & Quiet and Flush The Fashion, as well as finding fans in BBC Radio 6 presenter Shaun Keaveny, BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens & cult comedy legend Stewart Lee, among others!

“One of the most unique noise rock bands to have appeared in the past five years.” The Quietus
“Ferocious, riff-heavy, angry punk!” Huw Stephens
“This is catharsis in youthful noise.” Loud & Quiet
“Politically and socially conscious, but it’s also an absolute blast.” All Music
