What’s included:
Your show will feature on Komedia’s monthly listings poster during the month of the event. Our monthly listings poster is posted here:
- ‘What’s On This Month’ newsletter (over 35,000 recipients)
- Komedia’s monthly brochure (2,500 print run)
- Venue Instagram and Facebook pages
- A-board at venue entrance on Gardner Street
- Large poster displays in the venue
Your show will also get the following:
- Event listing on Komedia website
- Event listing on Visit Brighton website
- Up to 3 x A3 posters displayed in venue (to be printed by you and sent to us)
- Sharing of social media posts we are tagged in (within reason)
- Collaborative Instagram post if a request is sent to us (please note we cannot offer solus social media posts due to the large volume of shows we host)
- Co-host of Facebook event if a request is sent to us
To reduce waste, we are not accepting any other print including A5 flyers. Please be mindful and only print marketing materials that are absolutely necessary. If we receive more print than outlined in this document, a fine of £25 + VAT will be added to your settlement to cover the cost of recycling with Recorra.

Outreach
Direct outreach to local organisations within your niche is the best way to put your show on the map! Google can be a big help here, but feel free to contact us to check if we know of any relevant organisations that may be interested in your particular show.

Discounts & Papering
The Komedia Marketing team has a list of suppliers and local partners (made up of fellow independent businesses, co-working spaces, and community groups) who receive the occasional discount or complimentary ticket for a show.
Please contact press@komedia.co.uk at least 7 days in advance if you wish to discuss a special ticket offer or papering.

We require at least 3 weeks’ notice for any additional marketing support. Requests are subject to availability & capacity, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Photography & Video Recordings
- Photography (2 hours, editing included) £120 + VAT
Subject to the availability of our trusted local photographers. Please enquire at least 14 days in advance of the event.
- Video recording (Basement venue only, full show, unedited footage) £60 + VAT
Please enquire at least 7 days in advance. Any video recordings requested on the night incur an additional £10 fee, and must be signed off by the Duty Manager and added to the show report /settlement.
If your event takes place in the Studio venue, Komedia is unfortunately unable to provide you with a video recording. Our Marketing team (press@komedia.co.uk) can provide a list of local videographers for you to contact, should you wish to have a video recording of your Studio show.
Technical Information for Video Recordings in Basement Venue
The Komedia Basement is equipped with 4 x PTZ cameras and a video mixer.
- A standard video recording of your show comes from the live edit of the show and will not be “TV perfect” (we cannot provide a recording from individual cameras). This recording also includes a stereo audio recording from our sound desk only and audience ambient mic in the room.
- Recordings are made by the technician crewed onto your show. Added extras like multi-track recording or a dedicated engineer for your recording will incur further charges and may not always be possible. Please discuss this with Komedia’s Production Manager (emmahenderson@komedia.co.uk) at point of booking.
- Recordings will only be supplied via Google Drive download link to a nominated email address (we cannot record video footage to a USB stick provided by you). This link will be generated up to 2 weeks post show and will time out 1 week after delivery. Refunds will not be offered when links time out without being downloaded.
Refunds for Video Recordings in Basement Venue
Refunds can only be obtained if the following criteria are met:
- Your recording is lost or corrupted;
- The audio track on your recording is lost or corrupted;
- Recording is not possible due to a technical malfunction with our recording or camera system.
Social Media Use of Photo and Video Material
Photos and clips of video recordings may also be uploaded to Komedia’s social media accounts. If you do not wish for Komedia to use your material, please state this in writing at point of booking.
If you use photos or clips of video footage on your own social media accounts, we’d be delighted if you tagged us @komediabrighton (on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook).
