Drunk Women Solving Crime

Drunk Women Solving Crime, hosted by Taylor Glenn and Hannah George, is a hit true crime comedy podcast where a guest is invited to solve a crime from history over a glass or two. Past guests include Katherine Ryan, Rosie Jones, Ricki Lake, Romesh Ranganathan, Kiell Smith Bynoe, Helen Bauer and many more.

And after last year’s storming success, they are coming back to Brighton for more festive fun, so make sure you book early for this festive double record.

That’s right, TWO shows, TWO guests, TWICE the amount of crime solving… if this doesn’t get you in the Christmas mood, nothing will!

So, come along and join the force to be in with the chance of winning a prize for your best crime tale… See you there!

This show’s special guests will be best-selling author, TV writer, actress and presenter Emma Kennedy and award-winning comedian and writer Dane Buckley.

Emma Kennedy.

She has appeared in numerous TV comedies including Goodness Gracious MeThe Smoking Room and Miranda, and wrote the BBC sitcom The Kennedys, based on her book The Tent, the Bucket and Me. Emma has also written for award winning-CBBC show Strange Hill High and Dangermouse.

Her novels include The Things We Left Unsaid (2019) and The Never Ending Summer (2021), and her latest book, Letters from Brenda (2022), is a heartbreakingly funny account of finding a collection of her mother’s lost letters after her death and exploring the question of who she really was.

Emma won Celebrity Masterchef in 2012 and is a Guinness World Record Holder.

Dane Buckley

Dane Buckley is the world’s only Irish, Indian, gay comedian… probably. An award-winning comedian and writer, he delivers his comedy effortlessly with cheeky charm and camp mischief.

Dane burst onto the comedy circuit in 2022, making a name for himself by winning Gong Shows and was a finalist in LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year (2022), British Comedian of the Year (2024) and BBC New Comedy Awards (2024).

Whether it’s stories of his early years (Irish mammies, Indian grannies, and rebel priests) or his career in social care (chasing pensioners through Paris or delivering a baby impromptu) audiences across the UK are enjoying Dane’s hilarious and heart-warming tales.

Dane has supported Tom Allen, Rosie Jones, Joanne McNally and Josh Widdicombe on Tour, has been featured on Comedy Central, BBC Three and BBC One, and is a regular on the club and festival circuit.

Dane co-hosts the hugely popular podcast Welcome to Hell which debuted in the top 10 charts of both Apple and Spotify. Together with Daniel Foxx, the Infernal Aunties judge outrageous confessions, celebrate the salacious and revel in a good old-fashioned gossip.

What people are saying...

A night of belly laughs guaranteed. It’s a cool venue and a credit to Brighton.

Great night out! Mild emotional damage included, would absolutely risk sitting in the front row again.

Komedia isn’t just a comedy club. It’s the sound of people forgetting everything else for a while and that’s worth showing up for.

Guaranteed good evening out. Easy to find, good selection of food and drinks, great atmosphere.

Refreshing, thought-provoking and always very funny.

It has that reputation of being one of those go-to spots where you’re pretty much guaranteed a fun evening, even if you don’t recognise the comedians on the line-up.

An evening of fun and laughs to share with my family and friends time and time again.

Remembering some great nights with some of my favourite comedians for nearly 30 years!

Mixture of new & more established comedians in a great location, well organised and a fair price.

A lively room full of big laughs, quick wit, and the kind of night out where you forget to check your phone.

Big laughs, buzzing crowds, and a fun night out with a quirky, local vibe.

The South Coast’s leading and best comedy club!
