TOM WATERS BAND feat. GEOFF ACHISON – “BRUSH WITH THE BLUES”

Tom Waters, rising star in the world of rhythm & blues, jazz, funk, blues, Latin and roots music and his band, featuring Aussie guitar legend Geoff Achison bring their “Brush with the Blues” to Komedia following a highly successful 2025 Australian tour. Known for their fiery musicianship, the show promises an unforgettable, action-packed set stacked with hard-hitting originals and timeless roots classics.

Waters’ rollicking, honky sax and Achison’s sizzling guitar and vocals offer their unique take across Blues, Rock, Country, Rock, Funky Jazz & Folk, with blistering solos and deep pulsating rhythms.

To quote Queen’s Brian May, “You’re pure evil on that horn, Tom!” whilst Geoff has been compared with the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck & JJ Cale.

This is live music at its best!

What people are saying...

I love the venue and am grateful to you for having me back!

Staff were all very friendly and welcoming… the sound and lighting were brilliant and a great evening was had by all attending.

Great intimate live music venue. Not your usual gig beers, good selection of Lager, Cider and Ale.

I wanted to say a massive thank you for hosting my son and I in the Studio. I was so impressed by the kindness, efficiency, and professionalism of all the team at Komedia. Everything was perfect – the sound, the room, and all of the staff.

It was honestly the best concert experience I’ve had in a long time! Since being chronically ill, I’ve never felt completely welcome at venues. […] Komedia made me feel completely comfortable and confident in myself during the whole show! […] Although I traveled from London, I will most definitely be returning when I can, choosing it over London venues!

Lovely, intimate venue. Great sound system. Perfect for small concerts.

What a superb venue. I have been several times. Always a warm welcome and a safe space to enjoy the artists that are more “left field” than other more mainstream venues.

Cracking little venue, intimate, great acoustics, friendly staff, middle of town, nice beer selection, fair prices. What more could you want?

Great place to see bands. Not too big . Not too small. Excellent views plus TV screens in all areas. Disabled parking in the street behind. Good eateries locally after gig.

Komedia continues to have club nights that suit all ages. It is a brighton institution that should be revered.
