Edinburgh Preview: Chloe Petts & Josh Weller

Chloe Petts

Chloe Petts’ is ‘one of the most compelling young comics’ (Brian Logan, The Guardian) and ‘clearly a rising star whose name will soon be in lights’ (Bruce Dessau, The Evening Standard). This has established her as one of the most exciting up & coming acts on the circuit. She’s currently on screens every Saturday morning as a guest on Sky Sports News.

An alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, finalist of Leicester Square New Comedian
of the Year Awards 2017 and runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017. As well as supporting Ed Gamble on his Electric 2022 UK tour and Frank Skinner during his West End run.

On television and radio, Chloe has been a regular on The Frank Skinner Show (Absolute Radio), World Cup Breakfast (Sky Sports) for the
Men’s Football World Cup 2022 and previously for Good Morning Euros (Sky Sports) for the UEFA Women’s Euros, and has also appeared on MOTDx (BBC), Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club (ITV), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC Two), Random Acts (Channel 4), Hypothetical (Dave), Fighting Talk (BBC Radio 5 Live), BBC Three Quickies (BBC Three), as well as recently winning Pointless Celebrities (BBC One). In terms of podcasts, Chloe has appeared on Off Menu, Films to Buried With and co-hosted The Guilty Feminist.

Josh Weller

Recently hand picked by Fred Armisen to be his opener, Josh Weller is a failed musician turned comedian, viral content maker, comic book
author and podcast host. He was born in England, raised in Malaysia and now lives in London.

As seen on ITV2 Stand Up Sketch Show, Weller’s high energy brand of cleverly self-deprecating stand-up landed him on pro bills after just
one year on the circuit. In addition to his live comedy work, Josh has developed a loyal fanbase for his viral musical videos and online content, with views in the millions which includes mockumentaries, sketches, professional trolling, animated stand-up comedy shorts, character work, and more. His 2020 mockumentary ‘The U2 Taken Paradox’ has had over a million views and angered legions of loyal U2 fans.

His musical parody videos also have views in the millions on TikTok and Instagram.

What people are saying...

A night of belly laughs guaranteed. It’s a cool venue and a credit to Brighton.

Great night out! Mild emotional damage included, would absolutely risk sitting in the front row again.

Komedia isn’t just a comedy club. It’s the sound of people forgetting everything else for a while and that’s worth showing up for.

Guaranteed good evening out. Easy to find, good selection of food and drinks, great atmosphere.

Refreshing, thought-provoking and always very funny.

It has that reputation of being one of those go-to spots where you’re pretty much guaranteed a fun evening, even if you don’t recognise the comedians on the line-up.

An evening of fun and laughs to share with my family and friends time and time again.

Remembering some great nights with some of my favourite comedians for nearly 30 years!

Mixture of new & more established comedians in a great location, well organised and a fair price.

A lively room full of big laughs, quick wit, and the kind of night out where you forget to check your phone.

Big laughs, buzzing crowds, and a fun night out with a quirky, local vibe.

The South Coast’s leading and best comedy club!
