In 2024 John-Luke Roberts remounted all ten of his solo shows, from over fifteen years of making and performing comedy. To celebrate the achievement, he’s taking a compilation of some of his favourite bits on tour, alongside the whole of his 2020 show “It Is Better.” This is a rare chance to see JLR’s least seen show, originally released to vinyl in a year when no one could go out.
“It is Better” is an hour long spoken-word comedy show written and performed by John-Luke Roberts, with music by composer John Chambers. An absurd reflection on love and loss, “It Is Better” is best enjoyed around a log fire, while long-thought extinct beasts roam through the streets outside. But, failing that, it’s good in a theatre.
