What people are saying...

A big Thank You to Poppy, the manager, and the rest of the team at ABBA Gold last night. She was super helpful with me and my friend, who is in a wheelchair, and made it a fantastic night that we both really enjoyed. We hope to be back again soon.

As someone who works in the live music industry, I can honestly say Komedia is one of the best mid-sized venues I have visited. It has a wonderful atmosphere, outstanding acoustics, and a team that clearly knows how to run a venue. The Great Escape is always a highlight of the music calendar, and Komedia was one of the standout venues for me this year. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Brighton, whether for live music, comedy, or other events. A truly excellent venue and one of Brighton’s cultural gems.

  • Alex L.

The team working with us on Saturday were brilliant – special thanks to Steve, our engineer, who was fantastic.

  • Dave Arcari

I love the venue and am grateful to you for having me back!

  • Rod Thomas (Bright Light Bright Light)

Staff were all very friendly and welcoming… the sound and lighting were brilliant and a great evening was had by all attending.

  • Redkitewatcher64

Great intimate live music venue. Not your usual gig beers, good selection of Lager, Cider and Ale.

  • Simon Creevy

I wanted to say a massive thank you for hosting my son and I in the Studio. I was so impressed by the kindness, efficiency, and professionalism of all the team at Komedia. Everything was perfect – the sound, the room, and all of the staff.

  • Ben Waters
It was honestly the best concert experience I’ve had in a long time! Since being chronically ill, I’ve never felt completely welcome at venues. […] Komedia made me feel completely comfortable and confident in myself during the whole show! […] Although I traveled from London, I will most definitely be returning when I can, choosing it over London venues!
  • Maisie Cousins

Lovely, intimate venue. Great sound system. Perfect for small concerts.

  • Karolina Simpson

What a superb venue. I have been several times. Always a warm welcome and a safe space to enjoy the artists that are more “left field” than other more mainstream venues.

  • Andy Hoare

Cracking little venue, intimate, great acoustics, friendly staff, middle of town, nice beer selection, fair prices. What more could you want?

  • Jamie Womersley

Great place to see bands. Not too big . Not too small. Excellent views plus TV screens in all areas. Disabled parking in the street behind. Good eateries locally after gig.
