We were incredibly excited to be nominated for the Community Business of the Year Award at the 2025 Sussex Chamber Business Awards!
Kelly our Senior Marketing and Press Officer and Charlotte our Social Media Coordinator attended the ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole last Friday, for a night of recognition, celebration, and connection, hosted by comedian Simon Evans.
Komedia didn’t win this time, but we it’s really valuable for us be nominated for awards like this. Award nominations and wins help to not only raise awareness of who we are but also provide an opportunity for us to to review our practices and progress made over the years, whilst highlighting where we can improve, celebrate the hard work of our team, and connect with other local businesses.

We’re really proud to have been nominated alongside the finalists in our category, all of who provide invaluable support within our community, but it’s also important to highlight the impact that creative health can have too.
The Finalists included South Downs Health and Care who reinvest income generated from private GP services back into NHS Services, Wolo Foundation who help families living in Sussex through their cancer journeys and Greenpower a charity who kick start careers in engineering, who won the award.
The other winners on the night were The Sussex Sign Company (Diversity and Inclusion Award), PVL UK (Scale Up Business of the Year), Rayner (Export Business of the Year), Wightman & Parrish (Green Business of the Year), Kurt J. Lesker (Commitment to People Award), The Summer Berry Company (Business Diversification Award) and Andrew Tucknott of Tomsetts Distribution (Entrepreneur of the Year).
