Our large Basement, home to the iconic Komedia Comedy Club, can accommodate up to 415 standing guests or between 250-300 people if you’re looking for a more formal seated occasion. Perhaps you’re after something more intimate? Our smaller Studio venue has a capacity of 150 standing or up to 90 seated guests. Both of our rooms have space to hit the dance floor and feature full bars serving a selection of wines, spirits, cocktails and beers – including non-alcoholic options – soft drinks, and hot beverages. And if you’re planning your special day in the cooler months, our indoor spaces are ideally suited for the winter wedding of your dreams!
We’ve been hosting live shows for over three decades, so whatever you’re after, Komedia can help you find the best wedding entertainment in Brighton or beyond. We have the equipment and staff to host an ambient live band, a wedding DJ to play all the romantic hits, or even a stand-up comedian. Hundreds of showbiz legends have taken the stage at Komedia, so if you want your first dance to follow in the footsteps of Mel & Sue, Cillian Murphy, and Arctic Monkeys, we have you covered. As an entertainment venue, we hold a late license, meaning no ‘carriages at midnight’ if you want to dance the night away at your wedding party! Depending on the day of your marriage reception, the celebrations can go on as late as between 1:30am-3am.

You won’t have to worry about finding your own wedding catering either, as Komedia’s very own kitchen team will be happy to personalise a menu to your needs.
