Komedia Brighton has been the home of live comedy since 1994. Every Friday and Saturday night, you can enjoy over 2.5 hours of cutting-edge comedy from the most exciting names on the UK comedy circuit at Komedia Comedy Club! We asked our friends at Little Wander, who support us with booking these amazing line-ups, if there are any particular names to look out for this year. Here are the 10 best club comedians to see in Brighton, according to Little Wander’s Hal Branson:
1. Louise Young
Hailing from Newcastle, Louise has quickly become one of the brightest new names in the country. A heady mix of personal anecdotes and tales from her upbringing, delivered in her trademark chaotic style!

2. Harriet Dyer
Recently seen on Live At the Apollo, Harriet is a force of nature. Her memorable performances give you a peak inside her unique mind.

3. Gbemi Oladipo
Whilst Gbemi is still a relatively new performer, you won’t know that from watching him! He’s taken the roof off Komedia the last few times he’s performed here and is undoubtedly One To Watch for the future.

4. Laura Lexx
A hometown favourite and one of the country’s very best MCs! With her quick wit and years of experience, Laura’s crowd-work is unparalleled.

5. Sharon Wanjohi
Another new act, but one you can guarantee to see more of! Sharon is one of the most in-demand acts of the year and we can’t wait to have her back on the Komedia stage this March.

An absolute powerhouse of an act who will have you laughing from start to finish! Just ask anyone who joined our Komedia Christmas Parties last year.

7. Peter Brush
Don’t be fooled by his timid stage appearance… Peter is one of the sharpest writers in comedy! His well-honed material and punchlines will win over any room.

8. Ania Magliano
Ania is a triple threat: bisexual, Gen Z, and bad at cooking. Her sharp, wry writing, combined with her warm, conversational performance style makes her a glittering new talent.

Fast making a name for himself as one of comedy’s biggest talents, his hilarious insights into his Turkish Cypriot family life bring a unique perspective to the UK stage. As anyone who recently saw him at Komedia will known, his punchlines are truly razor-sharp.

10. Maisie Adam
Since winning the nationwide So You Think You’re Funny competition in 2017, Maisie has gone from strength to strength and can regularly be seen on stage and telly! Another Brighton local, she’s an act we are very proud of. You don’t want to miss her!
