The sell-out poetry night OFF THE CHEST makes its Brighton premiere at Komedia on 7th May.
Headlining this exciting event will be the award-winning poet Sanah Ahsan (winner of the Outspoken Poetry Performance Prize), with features from Brighton’s own razor-sharp wordsmith and free-style rapper, Gramski, plus another exciting feature announcement coming soon.
This eclectic night also boasts Off The Chest’s renowned open mic, which offers the opportunity to poets of all backgrounds and stages to take to the mic. You can sign-up for this on the night, from 7.30pm.
Hosted by poets Ella Dorman-Gajic and Iftikhar Latif, Off The Chest has produced multiple poetry nights to sell-out audiences, across London and further afield. They are funded by Arts Council England. Find out more and keep up-to-date via their website.
Sanah Ahsan’s debut collection “I cannot be good until you say it” was published with Bloomsbury this year. They will be selling copies of the book on the night. You can also enter in an exclusive competition to win a copy of the book plus two tickets to this night, via Off The Chest’s Instagram.
